Postdoctoral Research Scientist positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Cory Abate-Shen at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City. Our laboratory is focused on studying prostate and bladder cancers using geneticallyengineered mouse models, organoid models, and systems biology approaches. Areas of investigation include:

(1) understanding how basic mechanisms associated with cellular plasticity, differentiation, and specification are coopted in cancer

(2) investigating mechanisms of disease progression and metastasis

(3) pre-clinical investigations of cancer treatment and prevention.

Recent publications include: Vasciaveo et al. Cancer Discov. 2023; Paull, E. O. et al. Cell 2021; Papachristodoulou et al., Cancer Discov. 2021; Arriaga et al. Nature Cancer, 2020. 

Interested candidates should have a PhD and/or MD as well as relevant experience in molecular, cellular and/or systems biology and preferably in the generation and/or analyses of genetically engineered mouse models.
